Senior Building Surveyor

Location: London
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE
Working: Hybrid, typically 3 days in the office and up to 2 days from home

Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor who can take ownership of instructions, work directly with clients and play an important role within the wider surveying team.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a busy consultancy with a strong volume of work and scope to take ownership of a varied workload.

The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a good level of autonomy, manage client relationships and deliver building surveying instructions from inception through to completion. The role would suit someone who is confident dealing directly with clients and is looking to continue developing their career within a supportive consultancy environment.

• Undertaking a broad range of building surveying instructions

• Carrying out building surveys and inspections

• Preparing professional reports and technical documentation

• Providing building surveying advice to clients

• Managing projects and instructions through to completion

• Working across pre- and post-contract surveying services

• Liaising with clients, contractors and other professional consultants

• Supporting junior members of the team where required

• Managing your own workload and meeting project deadlines

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the surveying team

• Ideally 5+ years' building surveying experience

• MRICS preferred, although strong unqualified candidates will be considered

• Strong technical building surveying knowledge

• Experience managing your own instructions and working with clients

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

• Consultancy experience is preferred

• Candidates who are unqualified should be able to demonstrate experience equivalent to a Senior Building Surveyor level
