About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Forbes House Care Home.

You will play an important role in providing high-quality, person-centred care while supporting colleagues and helping to ensure the smooth running of the service.

You will support people to maintain their independence, dignity, and choice, ensuring they have a voice in their care and are treated as individuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support.

• Promote people's independence, dignity, privacy and choice.

• Support individuals with personal care and daily living activities.

• Develop positive relationships with the people we support, their families, and colleagues.

• Contribute to and implement care plans and risk assessments.

• Monitor individuals' wellbeing and report any changes appropriately.

• Support with medication in line with training, competencies and company procedures.

• Work alongside Registered Nurses, Home Managers and other healthcare professionals.

• Support and guide Care Assistants and other members of the team.

• Delegate tasks appropriately and support colleagues to maintain high standards of care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

• Promote safeguarding, health and safety and infection prevention and control.

• Support meaningful activities and help individuals achieve positive outcomes.

Relevant SVQ qualifications and Senior Care Assistant competencies are desirable/required in line with the role.
