Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to lead strategic procurement for wind turbines across an international renewable energy portfolio. This position is based in Romania and offers an exceptional opportunity for someone with advanced negotiation skills and a passion for sustainable energy to shape procurement strategies that impact projects worldwide.
Location and Working Pattern
Romania – Relocation required for this role. Hybrid working arrangements available.

Responsibilities
- Define and implement a comprehensive wind turbine procurement strategy aligned with corporate growth and regional markets.
- Oversee qualification, selection, and performance management of global suppliers to maintain high standards and ensure compliance with ESG and technical criteria.
- Analyse changing market conditions, supplier risks, and cost drivers to inform procurement decisions.
- Manage the full negotiation process for major turbine supply and long-term agreements.
- Collaborate with legal, construction, and project teams to ensure effective contract structures.
- Provide strategic leadership in procurement activities during early project stages, including budget assessments and bid preparation.
- Build and lead a strong procurement and logistics team, driving governance and continuous improvement.
Must-have Requirements
- Proven expertise in category management and international procurement, ideally within renewable energy or a similar sector.
- Strong commercial awareness with contract negotiation experience on a global scale.
- Leadership skills with experience in developing and managing teams.
- Knowledge of renewable energy supply chains and emerging sustainability standards.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Background in supporting large-scale, cross-border project delivery.
- Familiarity with framework agreements and financing components in energy projects.
