We are recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a supportive residential children’s home in Shirebrook.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment for the young people in the home.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting young people with their daily routines and activities
• Providing consistent emotional and practical support
• Building positive and professional relationships
• Promoting independence, confidence and life skills
• Supporting young people with education, appointments and activities
• Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Maintaining accurate daily records and reports
• Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and positive home environment

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient and confident working with young people.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience supporting children or young people
• Experience within residential care, supported accommodation or a similar setting
• A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• The ability to remain calm and consistent when dealing with challenging situations
• Good communication and record keeping skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep ins

Pay & Benefits

Up to £13.43 per hour
£70 per sleep in
