About the Role:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker in Coalville, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care within a residential setting. You will build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence, wellbeing, and confidence. You will also lead and support Residential Support Workers in daily responsibilities, ensuring the safety and emotional stability of all service users.

This position involves working closely with children and young people facing challenges such as emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring their safeguarding and protection are prioritised at all times. You will contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive environment, including assisting with domestic tasks and documentation as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build trusting relationships to support emotional and social development
• Lead and supervise support workers on shift, providing guidance and support
• Support children and young people's independence and confidence
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of care and progress
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are strictly followed
• Contribute to the upkeep of the home environment
• Work collaboratively with families, social workers, and other professionals to meet individual needs

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete within designated timeframe
• Proven experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory or team leader experience
• Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel within the locality to support other homes in the area
