Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital for the design and implementation of clean water infrastructure projects, primarily based in Falmer with hybrid working arrangements.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and overseeing civil engineering designs for clean water infrastructure projects
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
  • Conducting site visits to assess project requirements and provide technical input
  • Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Coordinating with external stakeholders and clients to ensure project alignment
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Managing project timelines and ensuring deliverables are met


Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in civil engineering within the water sector
  • Strong technical skills in civil design and relevant software
  • Proficiency in preparing engineering drawings and documentation
  • Understanding of clean water infrastructure and related regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
