My client is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Hook, Hampshire. You will work across development infrastructure projects, supporting schemes from pre-planning and feasibility through detailed design and delivery.

What you will be doing
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be involved throughout the development process, with a particular focus on infrastructure design and pre-planning.
You will:
·Produce and oversee civil engineering designs for development infrastructure projects.
·Work on highway, drainage and associated infrastructure designs.
·Prepare feasibility studies and technical assessments during the pre-planning stages of projects.
·Support planning applications with appropriate engineering information and technical documentation.
·Develop practical and commercially appropriate engineering solutions.
·Coordinate with clients, architects, planners and other engineering disciplines.
·Review technical information, drawings and calculations to ensure designs meet relevant standards and project requirements.
·Provide technical input throughout the design process and help resolve engineering challenges.
·Manage your own workload across multiple projects while supporting wider project teams.
·Contribute to the mentoring and technical development of less experienced engineers where appropriate.
 
What you will bring
To be considered for this Senior Civil Engineer position, you will ideally have:
·Strong experience within development infrastructure engineering.
·Proven civil engineering design experience.
·Good knowledge of pre-planning and feasibility work relating to development projects.
·Experience producing highway and/or drainage infrastructure designs.
·An understanding of relevant UK design standards, guidance and approval processes.
·The ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and project stakeholders.
·Experience working across several projects and managing competing priorities.
·Appropriate civil engineering qualifications or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Experience within a consultancy or development-focused engineering environment would be advantageous.
 
Salary and package
The salary for this position is £45,000 - £52,000 per year, dependent on experience.
The overall package will reflect your experience and the responsibilities of the position, with opportunities to continue developing your technical knowledge and progress within the business.
