Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer

A medium-sized civil engineering firm is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join their team, based in Cardiff or Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineer to work across a varied portfolio of projects, from initial design through to delivery, within a business that offers a close-knit team environment and hands-on involvement across the full project lifecycle.

The Role:

  • Producing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, and calculations, with a focus on drainage
  • Designing SuDS and foul/surface water drainage strategies in line with current standards
  • Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
  • Providing technical input across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to construction
  • Liaising with local authorities and water authorities where required

What's Required:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar civil engineering role, with strong drainage experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civils 3D
  • Chartered status (or working towards) would be an advantage for the Senior level
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
