This Birmingham role combines hands-on design, project responsibility and genuine progression within an established multidisciplinary consultancy.

The Opportunity

A growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Birmingham team. You will work across commercial, education, healthcare, residential and leisure developments, including major multi-million-pound projects.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take responsibility for civil engineering design elements across multiple schemes, remaining technically involved while managing project delivery and building relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead civil engineering design across development projects
* Deliver drainage, SuDS, highways and external infrastructure designs
* Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
* Manage multiple projects and civil engineering design packages
* Produce and review designs using Civil 3D, PDS, Site 3D and AutoCAD
* Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams
* Help develop technical standards and influence the continued growth of the civil engineering team
* Support and mentor less experienced engineers and technicians

Candidate Requirements

* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Strong development infrastructure design experience
* Experience across drainage, SuDS and highways design
* Knowledge of MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Civil 3D, PDS or Site 3D
* Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
* Chartered or Incorporated status, or working towards professional qualification, would be advantageous
* Strong project management and client-facing capability
