An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Technician to join a well-established engineering consultancy in London. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of development and infrastructure projects, supporting schemes from initial feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will play a key role in producing high-quality technical drawings and models, coordinating with engineers and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.
As a Senior Civil Technician, your responsibilities will include:
·Producing and developing Autodesk Civil 3D models, AutoCAD drawings, and technical details for highways, drainage, external works, levels, and SuDS schemes.
·Preparing general arrangement drawings, sections, details, schedules, and technical documentation throughout all project stages.
·Supporting planning applications, statutory approvals, tender submissions, and construction packages.
·Collaborating closely with Civil Engineers and other technical disciplines to deliver coordinated design information.
·Liaising with architects, contractors, MEP consultants, and external stakeholders.
·Ensuring all outputs comply with BIM standards, project procedures, and quality requirements.
·Reviewing and checking technical information to maintain accuracy and consistency.
·Mentoring junior technicians and supporting the wider team's development.
To be considered, you should have:
·Proven experience as a Civil Technician within a UK engineering consultancy environment.
·Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
·Experience producing highways, drainage, and infrastructure designs.
·Good understanding of SuDS, external works, levels design, and civil engineering principles.
·Knowledge of BIM workflows and collaborative design processes.
·Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
·Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads to meet project deadlines.
