Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid Working)
Salary: up to £75,00
A leading engineering and infrastructure organisation is seeking a Senior Civil Technician to support the delivery of major utility and infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is a key technical delivery role responsible for producing and coordinating high-quality civil engineering drawings and digital information throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams, you will play an important role in ensuring technical designs are accurate, coordinated, and suitable for construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate civil engineering drawings and digital deliverables for infrastructure projects
- Develop accurate, buildable, and coordinated technical information in line with project requirements
- Support multidisciplinary design coordination activities and contribute to resolving design and constructability issues
- Review and check technical outputs to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards
- Support project teams in maintaining programme requirements and delivery deadlines
- Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to junior technicians and developing team members
- Work collaboratively with engineers, BIM professionals, and wider project stakeholders
Ideal Background & Experience
- Experience within civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, transportation, energy, water, or construction sectors
- Strong background in technical drawing production and digital delivery within multidisciplinary design environments
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAD and modelling platforms such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar software
- Experience working within collaborative BIM and digital engineering environments would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work to programme deadlines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, project teams, and technical stakeholders
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior technicians would be advantageous
