Our client, a leading provider of integrated highways management, maintenance, and civil engineering services, are seeking a Senior Commercial Administrator to join their team in Congleton.

Are you an organised and detail-focused professional who enjoys keeping projects running smoothly and supporting commercial decision-making? This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy commercial team, where you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating reporting activities, and supporting the successful delivery of essential infrastructure services. Based in Congleton, you'll work closely with commercial, operational, finance, and supply chain colleagues in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support commercial, operational and finance teams with day-to-day commercial administration and contract processes.
  • Manage subcontractor purchase orders, monitor progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain commercial, financial and performance trackers using business systems and databases.
  • Keep commercial registers and contract records accurate, organised and up to date.
  • Prepare and distribute commercial reports, management information and meeting documentation.
  • Coordinate data relating to target costs, efficiencies and other key performance measures.
  • Support data management activities and ensure commercial information is recorded accurately.
  • Liaise with colleagues, clients and supply chain partners to support effective communication and collaboration.
  • Arrange meetings, track actions and maintain clear records of outcomes.
  • Assist with audits, governance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.
  • High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across different teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a commercial, construction or contract-based environment would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and CEMAR would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, data management and GDPR requirements.
