We're seeking a Senior CSA Project Manager to lead the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) scope on a major data centre project in Sweden. This is a senior site-based position with responsibility for overseeing all aspects of CSA delivery, from mobilisation through to commissioning and final handover.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced construction professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of project outcomes, and understands the importance of quality, safety, programme, and effective subcontractor management.
The Role
As Senior CSA Project Manager, you will act as the focal point for all CSA activities on site, working closely with project leadership, client teams, consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
You will take responsibility for planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring, and closing out all CSA works while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a hands-on leadership role where visibility, decision-making, and proactive management are key to project success.
Key Responsibilities
Project Mobilisation & Planning
- Support the development of detailed construction programmes, look-ahead schedules, equipment plans, and material delivery strategies.
- Develop and implement site establishment and mobilisation plans.
- Become fully familiar with project change management and project control processes.
- Support the implementation of project HSEQ requirements and site safety procedures.
- Review construction drawings, method statements, and risk assessments prior to works commencing.
- Assist in establishing quality benchmarks and construction standards from project commencement.
Project Delivery
- Lead and drive productivity across all CSA activities.
- Develop and manage short-term programmes aligned with the master project schedule.
- Monitor progress against programme milestones and provide regular updates to project leadership.
- Manage CSA subcontractors, ensuring appropriate labour levels, supervision, productivity, and programme adherence.
- Chair subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain comprehensive site records.
- Identify, manage, and communicate project variations and changes in conjunction with commercial and project teams.
- Monitor material procurement and delivery schedules to avoid delays and programme impacts.
- Drive project execution while maintaining focus on quality, safety, and productivity.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure workfaces are available, sequenced correctly, and free from constraints.
- Work closely with client representatives to ensure project objectives and milestones are achieved.
- Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical teams to manage interfaces and maintain programme alignment.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, supervisors, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Take ownership of site challenges and drive practical solutions to maintain project momentum.
Health, Safety & Environmental Management
- Ensure inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings are delivered effectively.
- Maintain plant records and ensure inspections and safety checks are completed.
- Enforce site safety procedures, PPE requirements, permits, and approved methods of work.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety walkdowns.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and strong behavioural safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and project requirements.
Quality Assurance
- Coordinate material and plant deliveries in accordance with programme requirements.
- Ensure inspection and testing activities are carried out and properly documented.
- Manage inspection test plans, quality inspections, and snagging activities.
- Promote a right-first-time approach with a focus on achieving a zero-snag handover.
- Manage free-issue materials and equipment, ensuring proper inspection, recording, and sign-off processes are followed.
- Ensure project quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of delivery.
Project Close-Out
- Support commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure life safety systems and associated documentation are fully completed and certified.
- Deliver accurate as-built and marked-up drawings.
- Manage site demobilisation activities, including labour, materials, plant, and temporary facilities.
- Ensure all project completion documentation is completed and submitted in line with project requirements.
- Support the successful delivery of final project handover milestones.
About You
You will typically have:
- Extensive experience managing CSA works on major construction projects.
- Previous data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, semiconductor, or other highly regulated construction experience.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme management, and site logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and quality management processes.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders within complex project environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify problems quickly and implement practical solutions.
- A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach to project delivery.
- Confidence working directly with clients, consultants, and senior project stakeholders.
