Senior Data Centre Design Engineer

Location: Northfleet (with flexible working options)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

Our client, a well-established and growing building services consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Building Services Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical or Electrical Building Services professional looking to lead projects, mentor team members, and play a key role in business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical or electrical building services projects
• Produce and review schematics, calculations, drawings and technical documentation
• Utilise AutoCAD and Revit to a high standard
• Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines
• Attend client meetings, workshops and project reviews
• Manage technical queries, RFIs and contractor submissions
• Support project budgets, resource planning and programme delivery
• Assist with business development and identification of new opportunities
• Mentor and support engineers within the team
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK standards, regulations and industry guidance

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• ACIBSE membership desirable; MCIBSE advantageous
• 8+ years' building services design experience, or significant data centre and residential sector experience
• Proven project leadership experience
• Strong AutoCAD and Revit capability
• Excellent knowledge of UK building services standards
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable
