Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer in Manchester within the leisure, travel and tourism industry, you'll play a key role in managing and optimising data pipelines to support analytics and decision-making. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will help ensure the business runs smoothly by maintaining high data quality and performance.

Description

The successful Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems to support analytics needs.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure data accessibility and usability.
• Optimise data workflows and troubleshoot any data-related issues.
• Ensure data quality and implement best practices for data governance.
• Work with various data sources and integrate them into a centralised platform.
• Provide technical expertise and mentoring to junior team members.
• Document processes and maintain up-to-date records of data architecture.
• Support the organisation in leveraging data for strategic decisions.

Profile

The successful Senior Data Engineer will be able to demonstrate:

• Strong technical skills in data engineering tools and frameworks.
• Experience working with large-scale data systems and pipelines.
• Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data quality.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Job Offer

Located by Trafford Park we are easily commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington and other surrounding areas.

• Salary ranging from £58000 - £63,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Permanent position based in Manchester.
• Hybrid working, circa 2 days in the office.
