Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Salary up to £150,000 + bonus

We're supporting a leading UK Wealth Management organisation as they continue a significant transformation of their Data & AI capability.

As part of this journey, they're looking to hire two Senior Data Engineers to join a high-profile Portfolio Suitability programme, one of the most strategically important initiatives within the business over the next two years.

This is a highly visible, regulatory-driven programme that will influence how the organisation serves clients, demonstrates suitability, and responds to increasing regulatory expectations. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, investment professionals, and key stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and developing scalable data solutions within Snowflake
  • Delivering Portfolio Suitability data products supporting client suitability, risk assessments and Consumer Duty requirements
  • Building investment data products covering portfolios, holdings, transactions, valuations and suitability outcomes
  • Engineering reusable market data and benchmark data products for investment and analytics teams
  • Working with Bloomberg, FTSE, Refinitiv, FactSet or equivalent market data providers
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and GitHub-based engineering practices
  • Using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
  • Developing reusable Gold Layer assets and analytics-ready datasets for enterprise consumption
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines and transformation frameworks using dbt
  • Designing dimensional data models and Star Schema structures
  • Contributing to a rapidly evolving Data & AI capability

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Excellent commercial experience with Snowflake
  • Experience delivering data solutions within Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Management or Financial Services environments
  • Excellent understanding of Star Schema / dimensional modelling
  • Strong experience with dbt
  • Strong SQL and data engineering capability
  • Strong data quality, lineage and governance experience
  • Exposure to market data platforms and financial data ingestion
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
