A senior opportunity for an experienced Delphi developer ready to combine hands-on technical ownership with real mentoring and team leadership. You'll maintain and enhance a large-scale, business-critical enterprise application used by clients globally — while actively raising the capability of the wider team around you.
The Role
- Maintain and enhance a mission-critical Delphi application; diagnose and resolve complex defects
- Act as technical mentor — coaching developers, sharing knowledge, raising team capability
- Lead on planning, estimating and reviewing development work
- Guide best practice on secure coding, documentation and QA
- Liaise with business users, QA and infrastructure teams as senior technical contact
- Contribute technical direction to modernisation and transition projects
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years' commercial Delphi (XE2, XE10+)
- 10+ years' Transact-SQL / MS SQL Server
- 3+ years' .NET C# ideally
- Demonstrable experience mentoring developers and/or leading technical teams
- Experience with legacy, undocumented systems
- Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery experience
- Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience preferred. Role is hybrid with Monday and Wednesday in the office.
