Nursery Senior Deputy Manager
Location: Yate
Salary: £33,000 per annum

This is an exciting time to join a thriving nursery as it prepares to open a brand-new site nearby. The move will provide the team and children with fantastic new facilities and a larger, purpose-designed space in which to learn, play and grow.
Our client is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Nursery Senior Deputy Manager to work closely with the Nursery Manager and help lead a passionate Early Years team. You don’t necessarily need to be an established Deputy Manager - a strong Room Leader with leadership experience and the ambition to progress would be warmly welcomed.

Nursery Senior Deputy Manager - The Role:
As Nursery Senior Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Nursery Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the setting
- Lead, motivate and support the nursery team
- Step into the Acting Manager role when required
- Mentor and supervise practitioners, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Assist with staff rotas, training requirements and performance reviews
- Help maintain consistently high standards of care, learning and safeguarding
- Support the nursery in meeting EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Support the nursery team through the transition into the new setting
Nursery Senior Deputy Manager - What We’re Looking For:
- A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years, or higher
- Experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager or in a similar leadership position
- Confidence supporting and developing nursery staff
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, hands-on approach to leadership
- A genuine passion for helping children and Early Years teams thrive
