I am pleased to be representing a medium sized, ecological consultancy based in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint an Ecologist into their team.  This is an exciting opportunity for an ecologist to deliver high-quality ecological services, whilst working alongside other experienced and enthusiastic professionals. This company promotes career progression and works closely with their staff to understand their career goals and structures a plan to achieve them.  

What you will need: 

• At least 4 years’ ecological consultancy experience  

• Relevant degree 

• CIEEM membership  

• Full UK driving licence 

• Experience in GIS and data analysis tools 

• Working towards GCN or Bat license   

What you will be doing: 

• Conducting ecological surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and biodiversity audits. 

• Undertaking environmental impact assessments 

• Mentoring junior staff members

• Contributing/preparing ecological reports  

• Client liaison  

• Providing expert ecological advice
