Senior Electrical Design Engineer in London, Greater London

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services Consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who can lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients across a diverse portfolio of developments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical design solutions across a range of commercial, residential, and education sector projects, from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design on a variety of projects.
• Produce and review detailed electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
• Manage projects through all design stages, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and external consultants.
• Attend client and design team meetings, acting as a key technical point of contact.
• Support and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
• Ensure compliance with current industry regulations, standards, and best practices

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within a Building Services Consultancy environment.
• Strong background delivering commercial, residential, and education projects.
• Proficient with industry software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and supporting junior team members.
• Working towards or already holding Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
