Senior Electrical Engineer | Helsinki, Finland

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for a major data centre project in Helsinki, Finland.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical systems and package delivery on a large-scale, technically complex project, working closely with the Project Manager, client, design team and subcontractors.

Senior Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical systems and package delivery across the project.
• Coordinate electrical works with the client, design team, contractors and subcontractors.
• Review IFC drawings and specifications and coordinate design information through BIM.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, submittals and design approvals.
• Oversee subcontractor progress, manpower, materials and deliveries.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, QA/QC requirements and relevant standards.
• Support site safety, construction work packs, validation and handover.
• Monitor programme, costs, variations and progress, reporting risks and delays.
• Manage snagging and project close-out documentation.
• Support BIM coordination, modularisation and engineering improvements.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the project team.

Senior Electrical Engineer Key Requirements

• 8+ years' experience with a recognised Electrical or MEP contractor.
• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Electrical Package Engineer.
• Previous data centre or mission-critical experience highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation and construction.
• Experience with subcontractor management, technical coordination and project delivery.
• Familiarity with Primavera/Project and CAD/BIM processes.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC, RFIs and change management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to strict deadlines.
