Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centres / Mission Critical

A leading M&E consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its London team, with the opportunity to work on Data Centre and Mission Critical projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious electrical engineer looking to develop their career within a technically challenging sector, working on complex, high-value projects alongside experienced engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and delivery across Data Centre and Mission Critical projects.

• Develop designs from concept through to detailed design and construction.

• Produce and review electrical calculations, specifications and technical reports.

• Coordinate electrical services with multidisciplinary design teams.

• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants.

• Attend and contribute to design and project meetings.

• Provide technical guidance and support junior engineers.

• Ensure designs comply with UK regulations, standards and project requirements.

• Manage technical deliverables, programmes and deadlines.

• Support technical reviews, QA/QC and project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

• 5+ years' relevant electrical building services experience.

• Consultancy or contractor background.

• Strong knowledge of electrical building services and LV systems.

• Experience delivering complex projects from concept through construction.

• Data Centre, Mission Critical or high-tech project experience highly desirable.

• Candidates with strong building services experience looking to move into Data Centres will also be considered.

• Good understanding of UK regulations, British Standards and industry guidance.

• Strong technical, communication and client-facing skills.

• Experience with relevant electrical design and calculation software.

• Chartered or working towards CEng/CIBSE membership advantageous.
