Location: Warren Street, London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: £55,000
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious commercial property in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer looking to take on a senior role within a high-profile site. You will be responsible for leading electrical maintenance activities, supporting the wider engineering team, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities
- Carry out fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems and associated plant
- Support the day-to-day operation of critical building services infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and site procedures
- Assist in supervising specialist contractors and reviewing completed works
- Provide technical support and guidance to fellow engineers on-site
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports through CAFM systems
- Identify opportunities for plant improvements and energy efficiency initiatives
- Act as a key point of contact for electrical matters on-site
About You
- Fully qualified Electrician (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Previous experience as an Authorised Person (AP) for LV and/or HV systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, switchgear, lighting, power, UPS, generators, and associated building services systems
- Experience working within commercial buildings, critical environments, or high-profile sites
- Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work and permit procedures
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- A proactive and professional approach to engineering maintenance
