Senior Electronics Design Engineer | £60,000-£65,000 | Reading in Reading

Currently recruiting for an exciting Senior Electronics Design Engineer opportunity based in Reading, offering a salary of £60,000-£65,000 per annum, plus an excellent benefits package.

My client is a leading supplier of anti-vibration mounts, avionics racking, and illuminated control and display systems, supporting the aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors in the UK and internationally.

Key details of the role:

• Location: Reading
• Salary: £60,000-£65,000 per annum
• Experience: Minimum 10 years within a manufacturing environment, ideally in aerospace or defence
• Technical skills: Altium, electronic circuit and system design, technical drawings, and engineering verification and validation
• Additional experience: Knowledge of aerospace/defence standards, reliability prediction (MTBF), and component obsolescence would be beneficial.
  

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design of electronic circuits and systems.
• Reviewing customer requirements and preparing bills of materials and project cost estimates.
• Managing project risks and leading verification and validation activities.
• Designing and reviewing test equipment and procedures.
• Supporting project teams and mentoring engineers where required.
