Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, are seeking a passionate sustainability professional to join our UK and Ireland energy management team, working with high-profile clients to develop and deliver ambitious environmental targets.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Energy Manager to take greater responsibility for the delivery of energy savings and energy-related services across client portfolios, while supporting the growth and development of energy management services for both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop ways of working to evidence and deliver energy consumption savings across client portfolios.
  • Develop and support a high-performing team of energy professionals.
  • Operate within a strong operational structure to support energy performance contract growth across a key account.
  • Implement and oversee standardised processes to support optimisation across multiple regions.
  • Deliver and support the delivery of energy reduction initiatives across commercial, data centre and retail estates, measuring performance against international standards.
  • Liaise with local and global FM teams, stakeholders, departments and business units to support contractual requirements.
  • Engage with senior leadership teams across the business and client organisations.
  • Identify, develop and implement energy-related opportunities while ensuring the effective management of energy resources and compliance with all service requirements.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Strong experience in a project management role within energy management and efficiency.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principal techniques and technologies that support the efficient use of energy.
  • Experience delivering complex energy and environmental projects for clients.
  • Experience managing teams of energy engineers, BMS engineers and data analysts across the UK and globally.
  • Professional membership of a relevant industry association.
  • Proven track record of successful work within an energy or technical environment.
  • Experience managing energy and environmental data across multiple data platforms.
  • Experience developing client energy and carbon strategies.
  • Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration and lighting operation, system design and integration.
  • Working knowledge of BMS and control theory to drive energy savings.
