Senior Engineer in Oxford

£55,000–£70,000 per annum | Permanent | Full-Time

Alpinefox Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Senior Engineer on behalf of an established, leading main contractor delivering major construction projects across a range of sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction engineer to take responsibility for site engineering operations, manage technical delivery and support the successful completion of complex construction packages.

Working closely with the wider project team, you'll take responsibility for:

• Managing site engineering activities and supervising Site Engineers.

• Overseeing accurate setting out and dimensional control.

• Coordinating groundworks, piling, drainage, structural steel and associated construction packages.

• Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and buildability.

• Managing temporary works procedures and technical compliance.

• Producing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality records and progress reports.

• Supporting construction programmes, subcontractor coordination and site delivery.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A Degree, HND or equivalent qualification.

• At least five years' experience in a similar engineering role.

• Proven setting-out experience on large-scale construction projects.

• Experience working on both groundworks and steel-framed buildings.

• SMSTS training and a valid driving licence.

• Strong technical understanding and the ability to take ownership of engineering activities.

Experience of major construction projects, concrete structures, temporary works and engineering team supervision will be advantageous.

• Salary of £55,000–£70,000.
