A leading Tier 1 main contractor is hiring multiple Senior Construction Engineers in Galway to work on large, multi‑million‑euro building projects.
Key responsibilities (summary):
- Review design for buildability and manage/drive resolution of design issues
- Lead on-site engineering delivery: RFIs, technical submissions, setting out/dimensional control
- Support the programme across design, procurement, lead-in and construction
- Manage engineering QA: ITPs, inspections/audits, NCR tracking and close-out
- Prepare/review method statements and risk assessments, prioritising safe systems of work
- Coordinate temporary works (register management; oversee TWC with overall responsibility)
- Collaborate with PM/design/services teams; support commercial and programme outcomes
- Mentor/manage engineers and ensure appropriate technical resourcing on site
