Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities on-site and coordinate with project and line managers.
- Define strategies for setting out, engineering controls and on-site quality.
- Manage inspection and testing plans to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Supervise temporary works processes and oversee lifting operations when necessary.
- Carry out as-built surveys and report on tolerances and interface issues.
- Keep accurate engineering records, including daily diaries, and promote digital workflows.
- Take ownership of the Non-Conformance process, ensuring timely resolution.
- Review and prepare method statements, risk assessments, and permits for ground-breaking tasks.
Must-have Requirements
- B.Eng in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of dimensional controls and survey techniques.
- Significant experience in quality management on civil engineering projects.
- Strong awareness of underground service risks and related safety procedures.
- Background in temporary works coordination.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with digital platforms such as A-Site and Viewpoint.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
- Appointed Person for Lifting Operations and A61 CPCS accreditation.
- Scaffold awareness or inspection qualification.
- Understanding of planning and scheduling software.
- Broader exposure to piling, geotechnical works and waterproofing techniques.
