Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering activities on-site and coordinate with project and line managers.
  • Define strategies for setting out, engineering controls and on-site quality.
  • Manage inspection and testing plans to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Supervise temporary works processes and oversee lifting operations when necessary.
  • Carry out as-built surveys and report on tolerances and interface issues.
  • Keep accurate engineering records, including daily diaries, and promote digital workflows.
  • Take ownership of the Non-Conformance process, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Review and prepare method statements, risk assessments, and permits for ground-breaking tasks.

Must-have Requirements
  • B.Eng in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of dimensional controls and survey techniques.
  • Significant experience in quality management on civil engineering projects.
  • Strong awareness of underground service risks and related safety procedures.
  • Background in temporary works coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms such as A-Site and Viewpoint.

Nice-to-have Skills
  • Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
  • Appointed Person for Lifting Operations and A61 CPCS accreditation.
  • Scaffold awareness or inspection qualification.
  • Understanding of planning and scheduling software.
  • Broader exposure to piling, geotechnical works and waterproofing techniques.
