Senior Engineering Operations Manager – Building Services
Location: Central London
Salary: £75,000–£85,000 + package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineering Operations Manager to lead the engineering and technical operations of a prestigious Central London portfolio.

This is a senior operational role suited to an engineering professional with a strong background in commercial building services, critical environments, and facilities management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day engineering operations across a prestigious Central London portfolio.

• Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, BMS, critical power, and associated building services.

• Manage and develop a team of engineers, supervisors, and technical specialists.

• Ensure planned, reactive, and statutory maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed SLAs.

• Take ownership of engineering performance, system reliability, resilience, and operational standards.

• Lead the management of critical engineering incidents, including escalation, recovery, and root-cause analysis.

• Manage specialist subcontractors and supply-chain partners, ensuring quality and contractual compliance.

• Work closely with senior client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver a high-quality engineering service.

• Drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, operational resilience, and engineering innovation.

• Monitor KPIs, compliance, maintenance performance, risks, and engineering trends, providing regular reports to senior management.

• Support commercial management, budgeting, forecasting, and the identification of additional works and improvement projects.

• Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, statutory requirements, and company procedures.

About You

• Strong engineering background within commercial building services or facilities management.

• Proven experience managing engineering teams within a complex or critical environment.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.

• Experience managing PPM, reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and critical engineering infrastructure.

• Confident managing clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Engineering qualification or relevant professional accreditation preferred.

Salary: £75,000–£85,000 + benefits/package
