About the role of Senior Estimator

• Looking for a Senior Estimator to work on a long term commercial build.
• The project value is £5,000,000.
• Responsible for managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
• Working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Produce accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders.

Responsibilities of Senior Estimator

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Attend site visits, tender interviews, and client meetings.
• Work collaboratively with the pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams.
• Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender process.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and supply chain pricing.
• Support and mentor junior estimators where appropriate.

Requirements of Senior Estimator

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the construction industry.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills.
• Experience pricing a range of construction projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence.

The project is a commercial build and has a long duration.
