Senior Estimator (Fit Out)

Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join the growing Fit Out division of a Tier 1 main contractor, delivering high-value, complex projects across the UK.

This is a key position within the team, suited to an experienced Senior Estimator (or similar) looking to take on broader responsibility — combining hands-on tendering with the chance to influence how work is approached, priced, and secured.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and delivery of complex, high-value tenders
• Review project documentation and produce accurate, competitive cost plans
• Manage the full estimating lifecycle from enquiry through to submission
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop bid strategies
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior team members
• Engage with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners during the tender process
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of estimating processes

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Senior Estimating role within a Tier 1 contractor or similar environment
• Strong background in fit-out projects (Cat A & Cat B), ideally on large-scale schemes
• Track record of delivering complex, high-value tenders
• Ability to operate both hands-on and with a broader commercial perspective
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
