Pay Rate: £18.35 per hour
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
Duration: 10th August 2026 to 30th October 2026
Office Base: BS1

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Executive Assistant to provide high-level business support to senior leadership within a large public sector organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, proactive and professional Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience supporting multiple senior stakeholders simultaneously.



The Role

Working on a 2:1 support basis, you will provide confidential and comprehensive executive support to Directors and Executive Directors. You will be responsible for managing complex diaries and inboxes, coordinating meetings and events, preparing high-quality documentation, and ensuring senior leaders are fully briefed and prepared for key engagements.

You will act as a trusted point of contact, managing communications, prioritising competing demands, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage complex diaries and schedules, ensuring time is prioritised effectively for strategic objectives.
  • Oversee inbox management, triaging communications and responding on behalf of senior leaders where appropriate.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing packs, reports, presentations and correspondence.
  • Organise and support meetings, events and visits, including minute taking and action tracking.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process invoices and payments through internal finance systems.
  • Support HR-related administrative processes using internal systems.
  • Assist with coordinating responses to complaints and Freedom of Information requests.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to support newsletters, blogs and internal communications.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience providing Executive Assistant or Senior Personal Assistant support to senior leaders.
  • Significant experience managing complex and demanding diaries and inboxes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience drafting and proofreading professional correspondence and reports.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.


Working Arrangements

This role offers a hybrid working pattern; however, successful candidates will be expected to attend the office a minimum of three days per week, with additional attendance required to support meetings and business needs.
