Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant - Manchester
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
An established ground engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join its team in Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to take on more responsibility, work on a varied range of projects and play a key role in the delivery of geoenvironmental work.
The Role
You will be involved in a range of geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects, from initial site investigation through to reporting and remediation. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing and delivering Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Site Investigations.
- Preparing factual and interpretative reports, including contaminated land assessments.
- Overseeing site works, supervising contractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Managing project budgets, programmes and client relationships.
- Providing technical advice on ground conditions, contamination risks and remediation strategies.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Liaising with clients, regulators and other project stakeholders.
About You
- Experience in a geoenvironmental consultancy role, ideally at Senior Consultant level.
- A strong background in contaminated land and site investigation.
- Experience preparing geoenvironmental reports and interpreting ground investigation data.
- Good knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and guidance.
- Confident managing projects and communicating with clients.
- A relevant degree in geology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the site-based nature of the role.
