Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Consultant. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of London's most prestigious and technically challenging construction projects, partnering with leading Principal Contractors while acting on behalf of high-profile clients.

This role offers a great mix of autonomy and collaboration. You'll be home based with regular visits to project sites across London and the South East, giving you the chance to influence health and safety standards from project inception through to completion.

They are committed to providing a high quality service to their clients and are looking for an experienced professional who can build strong relationships and positively influence project teams.

The responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Consultant will include:

• Providing competent health and safety advice across a portfolio of major construction projects, working closely with clients, Principal Contractors and project teams
• Carrying out site inspections, audits and reviews to ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practice
• Supporting the investigation of incidents, identifying root causes and ensuring lessons learned are implemented across projects
• Producing clear and accurate health and safety reports while providing practical advice to a wide range of stakeholders

The successful Senior Health and Safety Consultant will have:

• Proven experience within a health and safety role in construction, consultancy or a closely related industry
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application on construction projects
• Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), or be working towards chartered status
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence at all levels
