Senior HR Advisor - Sheffield - circa £50,000 DOE - plus excellent benefits - Hybrid/ 2 days a week WFH.
Your new role
This respected and continuously improving large organisation is seeking to recruit to a new role of Senior HR Advisor.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful HR team and provide a comprehensive generalist HR service, partnering with leaders and employees to support a wide range of people-related activities. You will play a key role in delivering professional HR advice, managing employee relations matters, supporting organisational change, and driving continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
You will:
- Lead and coordinate employee relations activity across the business, overseeing the allocation, prioritisation and effective management of ER cases across the HR Advisory team.
- Provide expert guidance and support on complex employee relations matters, ensuring a consistent, fair and legally compliant approach while seeking external legal advice where appropriate.
- Analyse and report on employee relations trends, risks and metrics, using insights to recommend proactive interventions and improve employee experience.
- Develop and promote ER best practice through coaching, training, management guidance and practical toolkits to enhance capability across the business.
- Provide first line generalist HR advice and support to employees on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures, with a view to resolving matters on advice.
- Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in accordance with current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements, to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best practice.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging management training programmes, ensuring content is aligned to organisational objectives, enhances leadership capability, and supports managers in effectively handling people-related matters and driving team performance.
- Other areas include absence management, HR data analysis, recruitment support,
assisting with continuous improvement of people decisions, support TUPE, support restructures/ redundancy / exiting employees. - Produce regular HR reporting metrics and provide to the HR leadership team and Senior Management.
NB Hybrid working is 3 days on-site and 2 WFH.
What you'll need to succeed
- Be a Graduate or a Graduate calibre - ideally with a CIPD Professional Qualification (or working towards
- Solid experience in a generalist HR role, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice, with experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Experience of working without close guidance and support
- Ideally, experience working within a large organisation and/or fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Drivers License / Car
