Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Henderson Brown Recruitment
A senior site HR opportunity for someone who enjoys complex ER, operational pace and building a more proactive people agenda.
Senior HR Business Partner
The Opportunity
We're working with a leading food manufacturing business looking to appoint a Senior HR Business Partner into a key site-based role.
This is a broad, visible HRBP position where you'll work closely with senior leaders and managers across a fast-paced operational environment. The role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, understands the realities of manufacturing, and can balance hands-on HR delivery with more strategic people planning.
Cambridgeshire
4 days on site
£50,000-£60,000 DOE + £6,000 car allowance + 20% bonus + enhanced pension
Key Responsibilities
You'll partner with site leadership and operational managers to support the people agenda across the site, with a focus on:
- Managing complex ER casework across disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, conduct and performance matters.
- Coaching managers to take more ownership of people issues and build confidence in difficult conversations.
- Using KPI data, HR analytics and people trends to identify risks, themes and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting organisational design, workforce planning and change activity across operational teams.
- Driving employee engagement, retention, communication and site culture initiatives.
- Providing practical, commercial HR advice that supports operational performance, not HR in isolation.
What We're Looking For
You'll need strong generalist HR experience, ideally gained in FMCG, food manufacturing, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing or another complex operational environment.
The role would suit someone who has:
- Significant HRBP, Senior HRBP or equivalent generalist HR experience.
- Strong complex ER case management capability.
- Confidence advising, supporting and challenging managers.
- A clear understanding of people KPI data, analytics and how to translate insight into action.
- Experience supporting organisational design, employee engagement and proactive people planning.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
You don't need to come from food manufacturing specifically, but you do need to understand pace, complexity, operational pressure and the importance of being visible on site.
Why Join?
This is a strong opportunity for an HR professional who wants real influence in a site environment.
You'll be joining a business with scale, pace and complexity, where HR has a genuine role to play in improving capability, engagement, consistency and performance. It is a good fit for someone who enjoys being close to operations and wants to help managers make better people decisions before issues become bigger problems.
The package is also strong for the level, with a £50,000-£60,000 salary range, £6,000 car allowance, 20% bonus and enhanced pension.
