Senior HR Business Partner

Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Rate: £400–£500 per day PAYE
Contract: 2 Years

Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas organisation for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness on a two-year contract.

The Role

You will work closely with managers, senior leaders and wider HR teams to provide expert HR advice, coaching and support across the organisation. The role will play a key part in developing people capability, supporting performance and employee relations, and delivering wider HR and organisational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with managers and senior stakeholders, providing expert HR advice, coaching and guidance.

  • Provide strategic HR advice on a range of people and business challenges, challenging and influencing where appropriate.

  • Support managers throughout the performance management cycle, including performance calibration and addressing underperformance.

  • Coach leaders to strengthen their people management and leadership capability.

  • Manage and support complex employee relations matters, including investigations and performance issues, ensuring compliance with policy and employment legislation.

  • Provide guidance on HR policies, best practice and legal requirements, working with Legal, Occupational Health and other external stakeholders where required.

  • Support talent management, succession planning, workforce planning and organisational change activity.

  • Lead and contribute to HR projects and wider organisational initiatives.

  • Coordinate key HR activities including annual reward reviews, performance reviews and HR communications.

  • Support internal and external resourcing activity, working with recruitment agencies and service providers.

  • Analyse HR trends and metrics to identify opportunities and develop effective people solutions.

  • Work with managers and employees to improve working relationships, engagement, productivity and retention.

  • Act as a key point of HR expertise, responding to day-to-day queries and supporting the delivery of consistent HR processes.

About You
  • Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner or in a senior HR role.

  • Broad HR knowledge across Employee Relations, Reward, Resourcing, HR Operations and Business Partnering.

  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills, with experience working with senior leaders.

  • Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.

  • Commercially aware, with the ability to develop practical HR solutions aligned to business objectives.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.

  • CIPD qualification preferred.
