Senior Infrastructure Network Engineer - Contract

3-Month Contract (Initial) | Inside IR35
£450-500 per day
Hybrid - London (3 days per week onsite)

We are supporting a leading international business growth consultancy currently undergoing significant technology transformation across a portfolio of acquired and integrated businesses.
As part of a wider centralisation programme, they are looking for a highly hands-on Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join the team on an initial 3-month contract and help deliver a number of complex infrastructure, networking and identity-related projects.

This is not a management role. We're looking for somebody who remains close to the technology, enjoys solving infrastructure challenges and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to assess, configure, migrate and improve environments across multiple technology stacks.

What You'll Be Working On

• Network configuration, management and optimisation across multiple environments.
• Identity and access management consolidation projects.
• Infrastructure modernisation and standardisation initiatives.
• Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
• Entra ID, Okta and identity provider rationalisation.
• Hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Firewall, wireless and network security improvements.
• Supporting the migration of acquired businesses into a more unified technology estate.
• Working closely with Infrastructure, Security and Technology leadership teams.

Key Skills & Experience
Essential

• Strong hands-on network engineering experience.
• Palo Alto Firewall administration and configuration.
• Cisco Meraki wireless and networking technologies.
• Ubiquiti / UniFi networking environments.
• Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Okta identity management.
• Microsoft 365 administration and migration experience.
• Hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Network troubleshooting, routing, switching and wireless technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Highly Desirable

• Google Workspace administration.
• Google as an Identity Provider (IdP).
• Identity consolidation and migration projects.
• Infrastructure transformation and migration experience.
• Firewall migration projects.
• Experience working across multiple business units, brands or environments.
• Intune and endpoint management.
• Security-first infrastructure practices.

About You

You'll be somebody who enjoys getting into the detail, solving technical problems and improving infrastructure rather than managing large teams.

Most importantly, you'll be comfortable working across networking, infrastructure and identity technologies whilst helping a fast-moving organisation modernise and simplify its technology estate.
