This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal cashier who enjoys taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the cashiering function, managing workflow and supporting the development of a small team.
The Role
- Lead and coordinate the work of a team of three legal cashiers, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provide guidance, support and training to junior members of the team, helping them develop their technical knowledge and confidence.
- Oversee day-to-day cashiering activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Manage client and office account transactions, including client account reconciliations and control accounts.
- Oversee payments, receipts, transfers and the distribution of funds, including probate matters.
- Review bank reconciliations and assist with prepayments, accruals and other financial control processes.
- Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and maintain robust financial controls.
- Work closely with the wider finance team and provide support and guidance where required.
The Package
- Salary £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working, with two days from home.
- Full-time, permanent position.
