Axon Moore are supporting a long-standing client, a market leading business with a strong global presence in their search for a qualified Senior Management Accountant. This is a key role providing high-quality financial insight, robust financial control and commercial support to senior stakeholders. You will also manage a small team of newly & part qualified accountants.
The successful candidate will take ownership of management reporting, forecasting and cashflow across the region, while also playing an important role in driving improvements to financial processes and controls.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Analysing financial performance, identifying variances and providing meaningful commentary and insight.
- Supporting annual budgets and periodic forecasting processes.
- Preparing and managing regional cashflow forecasts, monitoring actuals against forecast and identifying key cashflow drivers.
- Ensuring robust balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls are maintained.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders and the Regional Finance Business Partner to support commercial decision-making.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial controls.
- Supporting statutory accounts and internal/external audit requirements.
- Working with local service providers across the region to maintain strong financial governance.
- Supporting and developing junior members of the finance team.
- Contributing to ad hoc projects, including the implementation of new customers, countries and operating models.
We are looking for a qualified accountant who can combine strong technical accounting skills with commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management.
You will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience working within a multinational or large corporate environment.
- Excellent understanding of balance sheet controls and reconciliations.
- Strong cashflow forecasting and budgeting experience.
- Good knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience working with internal and external audit processes.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working across multiple currencies and/or international entities.
- Previous experience managing, coaching or developing finance team members.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- £60,000–£65,000 basic salary
- 10% annual bonus
