- Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes for electrical harness and cable assembly.
- Create manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and production standards.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability and production readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ESD and configuration management requirements.
- Support production teams with technical expertise and manufacturing best practices.
About You
You'll be an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in aerospace, defence, automotive or another highly regulated engineering environment. You'll bring experience of:
- Manufacturing Engineering within a regulated industry
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Electrical harness and cable assembly manufacturing
- Crimping, soldering, braiding, potting, and connector integration
- Manufacturing process development and industrialisation
- AS9100 and quality-driven manufacturing environments
- CAD and ERP/MRP systems
- Structured problem solving and continuous improvement
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, PFMEA, or automated wire processing would be advantageous.
Why Apply?
This is more than just a manufacturing engineering role—it's an opportunity to influence how advanced defence systems are built. You'll enjoy:
- A four-day working week (Monday-Thursday)
- Flexible working arrangements
- Competitive salary and benefits
- Long-term career development
- Exposure to cutting-edge aerospace and defence technologies
- A collaborative engineering culture where your expertise genuinely makes a difference
