Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services

Are you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a fast-growing Building Services consultancy?
 
This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive M&E consultancy with ambitious growth plans, aiming to double in size over the next three years. As the business expands, you'll play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects while progressing towards an Associate-level position.
 
 You'll have the opportunity to lead projects from concept through to completion, mentor junior engineers and develop strong client relationships.
 
Responsibilities will include:
 
·Leading the mechanical design of projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
·Producing calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
·Designing HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning and public health services.
·Coordinating designs with electrical, structural and architectural teams using BIM where appropriate.
·Attending client meetings, design workshops and site visits throughout project delivery.
·Providing technical guidance and mentoring Graduate and Intermediate Engineers.
·Managing project programmes, budgets and resource allocation.
·Ensuring all designs comply with current Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and British Standards.
·Supporting business development and helping strengthen long-term client relationships.
 
 
You'll be an experienced Building Services Mechanical Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and supporting the development of others.
You'll have:
 
·A minimum of 6 years' UK Building Services design experience.
·Experience delivering projects within Data Centres.
·Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE or IMechE), or be actively working towards Chartership.
·Strong experience producing mechanical building services designs across all RIBA stages.
·Proficiency with Hevacomp, IES and other industry-standard design software.
·Excellent communication skills with the confidence to lead meetings and manage client relationships.
