About the Role

KTS Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineering practice, for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Leicester office.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial, healthcare, education, residential and industrial projects, delivering innovative and sustainable mechanical building services designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, heating, cooling and ventilation systems for building services projects.

• Produce mechanical calculations, equipment schedules and technical specifications.

• Coordinate designs with electrical, public health, architectural and structural teams.

• Manage mechanical design packages from concept through project delivery.

• Attend client meetings, design reviews and site visits where required.

• Ensure designs meet technical, regulatory and sustainability standards.

Requirements

• Experience in Mechanical Building Services Design within an engineering consultancy.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.

• Experience with mechanical calculations and coordinated design delivery.

• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, IES VE, Hevacomp or similar software is desirable.

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
