We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Chesham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, technically minded engineer who enjoys tackling challenging projects, developing practical solutions, and taking ownership from initial concept through to completion.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on a varied range of projects while providing technical leadership and supporting the development of other engineers.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be involved in a broad range of engineering activities, including:

• Leading mechanical engineering projects from concept through to delivery.

• Developing detailed mechanical designs, drawings and technical specifications.

• Carrying out engineering calculations and design reviews.

• Working closely with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams.

• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior and developing engineers.

• Reviewing designs to ensure they meet required standards, specifications and regulations.

• Identifying engineering challenges and developing practical, cost-effective solutions.

• Supporting project planning, estimating and technical documentation.

• Working with manufacturing, installation and commissioning teams.

• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of engineering processes and standards.

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from experienced Mechanical Engineers who are ready to take on greater responsibility and technical ownership.

You’ll ideally have:

• Significant experience in mechanical engineering and design.

• A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.

• Experience using CAD and other relevant engineering software.

• The ability to read, understand and produce detailed engineering drawings.

• Experience working on projects from design through to completion.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with clients and colleagues at all levels.

• A proactive, practical approach and the ability to work independently.

• A strong commitment to quality, safety and engineering excellence.
