Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an expanding project team based on-site in Dublin. Reporting directly to the Mechanical Lead and Mechanical Construction Manager, you will oversee technical project delivery and coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines to deliver fully integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Stakeholder Relations: Manage relevant client communications and represent the team at key client progress meetings.
Team Leadership: Lead, guide, and support a dedicated team of Package Managers.
Technical Management: Oversee the technical submittal and RFI processes to ensure seamless engineering workflows.
Commissioning Preparation: Develop and review comprehensive commissioning scripts for mechanical assets and systems.
Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and CSA contractors to guarantee that all services integrate smoothly.
Planning & Safety Compliance: Draft method statements, risk assessments, and collaborate with the project team to sequence pipework installations to meet key programme dates.
Quality & Delivery Oversight: Assist in managing site installation works to ensure high quality, managing the project timeline through to final commissioning and handover.
Commercial & Handover Support: Help document and cost scope changes for monthly valuations and final accounts, while driving O&M completion and vendor documentation collection.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Proven track record in large-scale construction projects (data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical environment experience is highly desirable).
Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
