This highly regarded consultancy provides complex mechanical, electrical, public health, and sustainable engineering solutions to a broad range of projects.  Projects range from large luxury private homes, new-builds, renovations and fit-outs, to bespoke environmental designs that result in more efficient buildings.  The range of work is wide covering other sectors such as commercial, education and residential.

This role is ideal if you want to work in a small highly professional friendly environment and take responsibility for your own projects.

Job Overview and Responsibilities:

• Design, manage and supervise projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans and agree deliverables.
• Carry out engineering concept design to detailed design, tender and contract on site supervision, to completion, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs and that completion deadlines are achieved.
• Monitor and control project progress, design variations and project financial budgets.
• Maintain great client relationships
• Meetings with clients, other professional design team members and contractors
• Knowledge of UK design legislation and guidance

Qualifications & Attributes

• A minimum of 5 years’ Mechanical services design experience in the UK
• Technical expertise within mechanical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractor
• Minimum HNC/HND level in building services or mechanical engineering or degree equivalent
• Able to handle several ongoing projects at various stages
