This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, proactive and detail-focused membership professional to join a busy and internationally focused Membership team.
Salary: £33-37k
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Location: London
Working pattern: Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office
About the role
As Senior Membership Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the organisation's global membership operations and ensuring members receive a high-quality, professional service.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, an international team and external suppliers, you will oversee key membership processes, maintain accurate data, support member communications and help deliver a range of valuable member benefits.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys combining administration, data, customer service and process improvement, and who takes genuine pride in getting the detail right.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the quarterly membership renewal cycle for a global membership of more than 14,000 members, including payment runs, direct debits and the archiving of overdue memberships.
- Provide accurate membership data to third-party suppliers to support invoicing and member renewals, managing weekly and monthly data requirements.
- Produce membership statistics, reports and student analytics to help monitor membership activity, trends and performance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records, including member contact details and benefits.
- Work closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure membership processes, payments and communications are delivered accurately and on time.
- Respond to day-to-day member enquiries by email and telephone, providing professional and helpful support on memberships, payments, renewals and benefits.
- Support the delivery of member services, working closely with an international team to provide member benefits, including free courses and interview coaching.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing administrative processes and ways of working.
- Support the implementation of new member benefits and membership retention initiatives.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and senior professionals within the sector.
Person specification
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised administrator who is confident managing multiple priorities and takes ownership of their work.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in a membership, customer service, administration or similarly busy operational environment.
- A high level of organisation, with the ability to manage tasks from start to completion.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with membership records, data and payments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach.
- Experience using online tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, Eventbrite and SurveyMonkey, alongside CRM and CMS systems.
- Confidence in building professional relationships with senior professionals and external stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in delivering excellent member service and improving processes.
