Senior Nurse/Paramedic - Police custody - Lancashire

full time to work across the Lancashire contract - 2 days and 2 nights

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Healthcare Professional, you'll provide high-quality clinical care within custody settings while supporting and developing the wider clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting clinical assessments and providing healthcare to detainees.
• Assessing fitness for detention, interview, release or transfer.
• Carrying out forensic examinations and accurately documenting injuries and clinical findings.
• Supporting the Clinical Lead with the management, supervision and development of nurses and paramedics.
• Delivering clinical supervision, appraisals, training and competency assessments.
• Promoting clinical governance, quality assurance and compliance with professional standards.
• Deputising for the Clinical Lead when required and supporting the effective delivery of the service.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from healthcare professionals who have:

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse or HCPC registration as a Paramedic.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment.
• The confidence and ability to work autonomously while supporting and mentoring colleagues.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• A valid UK driving licence.

Experience in custody, emergency, urgent care or forensic healthcare would be advantageous
