Are you an experienced Overhead Line Engineer ready to take the lead on complex, high-impact electricity network projects? UK Power Networks is looking for a Senior OHL Engineer to join the Capital Programme team and help deliver safe, compliant and innovative overhead line designs from 11kV to 132kV.

Reporting to the Design Lead, you will produce complete OHL design packages, calculations, reports and drawings for new build and refurbishment schemes. This is an opportunity to bring your civil or structural engineering expertise into a senior role where your decisions directly support the resilience and development of the electricity network. You will lead by example, guide project teams, review and sign off designs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of technical processes and engineering delivery.

  • Competitive salary of £84,160 plus a 3% bonus.
  • Blended working after probation, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.

You should have practical experience using PLS-CADD and PLS Tower, a strong understanding of CDM Regulations, and knowledge of British, European, ENA and utility industry standards. Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Office, project management tools and broader environmental, financial or regulatory considerations would be advantageous.

If you are ready to take the next step in your OHL engineering career and want to help deliver essential infrastructure for the communities UK Power Networks serves, we would like to hear from you.
