Conrad Consulting are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading independent consultancy working on one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure programmes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planner to take on a senior position within a high-profile project environment, working alongside major contractors, consultants and client-side stakeholders on a programme of significant national importance.

The Role

As Senior Planner, you will take responsibility for developing, managing and reviewing complex project programmes, providing high-quality planning and project controls support across a major infrastructure programme.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed integrated project programmes.
  • Managing baseline, current and forecast programmes.
  • Monitoring progress and performance against agreed programme targets.
  • Identifying critical path activities, risks, constraints and potential delays.
  • Undertaking programme impact and delay analysis.
  • Producing detailed programme reports and progress information for senior stakeholders.
  • Leading programme review and progress meetings.
  • Working closely with project managers, commercial teams, contractors and other consultants.
  • Reviewing contractor programmes and challenging programme performance where appropriate.
  • Providing planning advice and recommendations to support project delivery.
  • Supporting change management and assessment of programme impacts.
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior planners.
About You

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner with a strong background in major construction, infrastructure, engineering or energy projects.

You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience in a project planning role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary programmes.
  • A strong understanding of construction and infrastructure project delivery.
  • Experience undertaking programme analysis, delay assessment and impact analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to challenge programme performance and provide robust planning advice.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in construction, engineering, project management or a related discipline.

Experience working on major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, utilities or other complex capital projects would be highly advantageous.
